Understanding Breast Lift Surgery

Time can significantly impact breast appearance. Pregnancy, weight fluctuations, and aging can cause breasts to flatten, sag, and lose volume. A breast lift with Dr. Krummen can restore breasts to a higher, more youthful position on the chest.

What is a Breast Lift?

Clinically known as mastopexy, a breast lift aims to return breasts to a higher position on the chest. As support tissues weaken and ligaments stretch, Dr. Krummen removes excess skin and repositions tissue to raise and firm the breasts.

Ideal Candidates for Breast Lift

  • Breasts have lost shape or volume
  • Significant breast sagging
  • Stretched breast skin
  • Flat or elongated breast shape
  • Downward-pointing nipples
  • Asymmetrical breast appearance

Mastopexy Procedure Options

Dr. Krummen offers three primary incision techniques tailored to individual patient needs:

Incision Techniques

  • Areolar Incision:
  • Lollipop Incision:
  • Anchor Incision:

Breast Lift and Augmentation

While a breast lift repositions existing breast tissue, it does not change breast size. Patients desiring increased volume can combine a lift with breast augmentation during the same procedure.

Recovery Expectations

  • Return to work in approximately one week
  • Avoid heavy lifting for six weeks
  • Wear surgical support bra continuously for one month
  • Gradual reduction in swelling and discomfort

Extending Breast Lift Results

  • Maintain stable body weight
  • Wear supportive undergarments
  • Practice good skincare
  • Follow post-surgical instructions

Dr Krummen was so informative and patient with me from the first consultation to my first post op appt. I have already recommended her highly to others, she is professional and caring. She put me at ease the moment I entered the OR. Thank you for my improvements, it's a gift to have my babies and a gift to have my body back. You are the best.

Went to Dr. Krummen for breast augmentation surgery. Previously had saline implants and after 23 years one ruptured. She was recommended by my PCP. Made appointment for a consultation and scheduled date for surgery. Pleased with the doctor. Very knowledgeable. Had my surgery 10 days ago and are in the healing process. Have had follow up visits. So far so good. Only time will tell.

This was the worst experience of my life. I do not recommend this physician. She did not explain the procedure before going forward with treatment. She caused me severe pain and discomfort while still proceeding with the treatment. If I were you I would not come to her for your treatment.

Would be nice if the person doing ur procedure would explain what they were doing and what it would look like after. I went in for a stye draining and all she told me was that it would be numbing and draining. Then after injecting me with numbing she said “oh you’ll have a little black eye” to which I was upset about and said what and then she goes “well ya at the injection site” like it was obvious to know. She then did multiple things without explaining anything and all I heard was zapping. Then I look at myself to have open wounds on my eyelid. She was extremely rude about me getting infusions for my medical problems and asking if I was “seeing a real doctor” which I would say is very unprofessional. I am a 19 year old girl and was visibly nervous and Dr. Krummen was very insensitive and rude. I wasn’t even sure I needed the procedure done and she made it sound like let’s just do it it’ll be fine without explaining anything. As I was laying down I asked “are we sure I need this” because I was nervous and she ignored me. After the process was done she left me with ice for five minutes and then decided she missed a spot and wanted to go back in to cauterizing my eye. I explained how I was already feeling a lot of pain in my eye and it was not numb and she ignored me and said it’ll be okay. I told her no and got up and decided to leave. She told me if it didn’t heal I would have to see an eye doctor which I am really deeply regretting not going to originally. Learn how to show some compassion and explain procedure.
