So Dr. Fan is kinda famous haha. To be honest, I was a little intimidated to meet him, but when it comes to surgery, I wanted the best. So I went with him after a friend recommended him. I did a few consultations and what drew me to Dr. Fan was his attention to detail and bedside manner. He is humble and calm, so very reassuring. During my consult, he spent a fair amount of time with me and made me feel at ease. Now that I’m a year past my surgery, I can’t thank Dr. Fan enough for the transformation. This office charges you extra if you choose to not give them publishing rights to photos of your body. I'm guessing this is why there are so many photos of his work, I'm sure most people with their pictures posted don't even realize they are there. It is unethical to not make it very clear you are asking permission to post these photos to use in his marketing. This office hides its permission to publish photos of your body in about 3 dozen pages of paperwork (no joke!) BEFORE you even have an appointment with the doctor. Since it is digital paperwork, it has been designed so there is no way to avoid signing that specific page. You must email them revoking permission after submitting the paperwork. I had to email twice to get an acknowledgement that they would honor my revocation of that clause. After my time with Dr. Fan during my consult his sales person took over and explained because I had revoked their permission to use photos of my body for marketing purposes my surgery would be $2,500 more! Unbelievable! It's not even about the money! I could not trust someone who thought this was appropriate with my body. They also are generally very aggressive with sales which I understand is common in this industry but it made me feel like I was at a used car lot. I have since had my surgery with another doctor with a zero-sales pressure office (they exist!) and am absolutely thrilled with my results.

A trusted surgeon, based outside of California, highly recommended Dr. Fan to finish a medical procedure where scarring would be very visible. After receiving his name, I discovered that Dr. Fan is not only renowned in his field but also highly regarded within many other circles. What truly impressed me, however, was learning that so many people went to Dr. Fan - even the wives of other plastic surgeons seek out Dr. Fan for their own procedures. Dr. Fan is incredibly meticulous and you can barely see where the incision was made. It has been many years post-surgery and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. Dr. Fan is renowned for his “beautiful scar” technique—my scars are nearly invisible! Even my dermatologist was thoroughly impressed by the outcome. During consultations Dr Fan takes his time with his patients to make sure that they feel comfortable and listened to. He also takes this time to walk through all the different possible procedures and what the best options for you are, so that you can make informed decisions and build a customized plan. He also makes sure to always answer any questions you have with thoughtful answers. They also do a very good job communicating and always respond via phone/text as soon as possible.
