On April 3rd , I had minor surgery for removal of small basil cell carcinoma. Surgery, which took 10 minutes, took place 2 and 1/2 hours after scheduled time…due to ? Suture removal took place a few weeks later and nurse was 1 hour late due to ? Halifax Hosp and lab billed me for full amount of service without billing Medicare and supplemental . UF failed to tranfer ins. Information, overbooks patient services, and is poor communicator. Messages for surgeon, prior to surgery, were not delivered. Perhaps UF is “The only game in town,” but they are playing it poorly! On August 5th, United Health Care, my supplemental ins., informed me they are no longer covering medical expenses incurred by UF as of September, 1st…so be aware….
