Breast Enhancement Surgery in Florence, SC | Joe A. Griffin III, MD

Understanding Breast Augmentation Procedures

Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure designed to enhance breast size and shape for various personal and medical reasons. The technique involves inserting implants to improve body contour, restore volume, and achieve aesthetic balance.

Primary Reasons for Breast Augmentation

  • Enhance body contour and proportions
  • Restore breast volume after weight loss or pregnancy
  • Achieve breast symmetry
  • Improve breast shape and firmness
  • Reconstruct breast appearance after medical procedures

Surgical Approach and Techniques

Dr. Joe A. Griffin III employs specialized techniques to ensure minimal scarring and natural-looking results. Incisions are strategically placed in inconspicuous locations such as the breast crease, around the nipple, or in the armpit.

Implant Placement Options

  • Directly under breast tissue (submammary placement)
  • Beneath the chest wall muscle (submuscular placement)

Implant Selection Considerations

Choosing the right implant involves evaluating multiple factors, including:

  • Implant filler (saline or silicone)
  • Size and volume
  • Texture and shape
  • Projection profile

Patient Candidacy

Ideal candidates for breast augmentation are physically healthy individuals with realistic expectations. The procedure is typically recommended for women with fully developed breasts, with age requirements varying by implant type.

Recovery and Results

Patients can expect initial recovery within 24-48 hours, with complete healing occurring over several weeks. Surgical outcomes typically reveal fuller, more symmetrical breasts with minimal scarring.

I had and paid for BI and tummy tuck in 2020, $13,500 day of surgery only BI was done. Was told surgery was cut short due to issues inserting cat tube . After and at 6 months I had complained that my breast were sagging, falling to side when laying down and when arms are up I looked uneven. Dr. Griffen dismissed me as a patient and would not even try to look at, fix ect. Now I had a remaining credit with his practice due to the tummy tuck not being done. It took me over a year to get it back and when I arrived at the office I was meet by there attorney and a paper I was required to sign first. The paperwork stated I couldn't speak about or put Dr. Griffin in a bad light. It was 1 week before Christmas and I needed my money so I signed the paperwork but I also recorded the conversation because I felt threatened and made to agree or they wouldn't give my money back. The staff were amazing. I also felt that they didn't want to so what he was making them do to me. (Paperwork) I'm left with sagging, uneven breast

Dr. Griffin did my breast reduction October 2018. He did a wonderful job and I'm overly excited about my new breast. No more aching back pain or burning shoulders. Now I'm ready for a tummy tuck 2023!!
