Understanding Chemical Peel Treatments

Chemical peel is a specialized dermatological procedure designed to improve and smooth facial skin texture by removing damaged outer layers. This technique effectively addresses facial blemishes, wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation through carefully selected chemical solutions.

Chemical Peel Solutions

Joe A. Griffin III, MD offers three primary chemical peel formulations to meet individual patient needs:

  • Alphahydroxy Acids (AHAs): Mild peels for smoother, brighter skin
  • Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA): Medium-depth peels for surface wrinkles
  • Phenol: Deep peels for significant skin rejuvenation

Treatment Applications

Chemical peels target specific skin concerns, including fine wrinkles on cheeks, forehead, and around the eyes. The solution can be applied to the entire face or focused on specific areas like around the mouth, often complementing other cosmetic procedures.

Comprehensive Chemical Peel Benefits

Patients may experience multiple advantages from chemical peel treatments, such as:

  • Improved skin texture and tone
  • Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Treatment of acne and acne scars
  • Correction of uneven pigmentation
  • Potential removal of pre-cancerous skin growths

Procedure Considerations

Chemical peel treatments are customized based on individual skin type, concerns, and desired outcomes. The precise formula and technique are adjusted to ensure optimal results and patient safety.

Recovery and Aftercare

Recovery varies depending on the peel intensity. Patients can expect different healing processes for AHA, TCA, and phenol peels, with potential side effects including temporary redness, swelling, and skin sensitivity.

Important Precautions

Post-treatment skin protection is crucial. Patients are advised to use recommended sunblock and follow specific aftercare instructions provided by Joe A. Griffin III, MD.

I had and paid for BI and tummy tuck in 2020, $13,500 day of surgery only BI was done. Was told surgery was cut short due to issues inserting cat tube . After and at 6 months I had complained that my breast were sagging, falling to side when laying down and when arms are up I looked uneven. Dr. Griffen dismissed me as a patient and would not even try to look at, fix ect. Now I had a remaining credit with his practice due to the tummy tuck not being done. It took me over a year to get it back and when I arrived at the office I was meet by there attorney and a paper I was required to sign first. The paperwork stated I couldn't speak about or put Dr. Griffin in a bad light. It was 1 week before Christmas and I needed my money so I signed the paperwork but I also recorded the conversation because I felt threatened and made to agree or they wouldn't give my money back. The staff were amazing. I also felt that they didn't want to so what he was making them do to me. (Paperwork) I'm left with sagging, uneven breast

Dr. Griffin did my breast reduction October 2018. He did a wonderful job and I'm overly excited about my new breast. No more aching back pain or burning shoulders. Now I'm ready for a tummy tuck 2023!!
