Understanding Breast Lift Surgery (Mastopexy)

Breast lift surgery, medically known as mastopexy, is a transformative procedure designed to correct sagging and pendulous breasts. The technique involves removing excess skin and tightening breast tissue to create more attractive, youthful breast contours.

Reasons for Breast Lift Surgery

Multiple factors contribute to breast sagging and loss of shape, including:

  • Natural aging process
  • Significant weight loss
  • Post-pregnancy breast changes
  • Loss of skin elasticity

Breast Lift Technique Options

Crescent Lift

  • Ideal for slight sagging
  • Minimal tissue removal above the nipple
  • Least invasive technique

Benelli Lift

  • Best for minimal sagging
  • Doughnut-shaped tissue removal around nipple
  • Produces inconspicuous scarring

Lollipop Lift

  • Addresses moderate sagging
  • Incision around nipple and down to breast crease
  • Effectively lifts low-hanging breasts

Anchor Lift

  • Recommended for severe sagging
  • Most extensive tissue removal technique
  • Provides maximum breast reshaping

Recovery and Expectations

Most patients return to work within a week of surgery. Strenuous activities should be avoided for several weeks. While results are long-lasting, natural aging and weight fluctuations can impact breast appearance over time.

Candidacy for Breast Lift

Ideal candidates are individuals with drooping breasts who are in good physical health, do not smoke, and maintain realistic expectations about surgical outcomes.

I went to Dr. Crosby for a scar revision. She stitched the side of the scar and never addressed the center of of the scar. No reduction of my 4cm x 2cm scar.

This is the second time we are in emergency room and still cannot reach you doctor . Last week the doctors at Methodist nasa specifically said it was necessary to remove cancer patient and my daughter’s implants because her body is rejecting them . After they called you numerous times you finally responded with a consultation visit ?!! They specified it was best for you to be the one to remove them since you were the one put them in . So now you expect for my daughter to wait for your availability date almost a month from now in pain and risking her life more through this … so if cancer didn’t take her down … you will put her life at risk ?!! Why ?!!! You wouldn’t schedule at first because she couldn’t provide proof of insurance… and now she provided it and she has to wait ?!!!Is this what you call being a caring doctor ?!!!I get it !!! You need to get paid and you don’t work for free ?!! Isn’t it logical for you to remove what you put in that her body is rejecting ??!! Do the human act ?!!!well at this point we are reaching out to our attorney because you have left us no choice and If anything happens to my daughter because of all this just know that I will not rest to see justice in this with you .

Dr. Melissa Crosby has one of the most pleasant, calming demeanors I’ve ever seen in a doctor or surgeon. Exceptionally gifted surgeon and with Angie at the front desk being super helpful, it takes takes a lot of the stress away. Can’t say enough good things about this talented group of ladies.

Dr. Crosby and her team is absolutely phenomenal, from Angie at the front desk down to doctors. The office is very professional and helpful. After my reconstructive breast surgery her team was always available to answer questions. Even though I am in the first stage the work she had done looks great I can’t wait to see the final results

Her desk staff are cold hearted, super rude and not helpful. Angie is very patronizing and not helpful at all! She does not care about patients!
