Richard H. Tholen, MD, FACS, is a highly-regarded plastic surgeon and co-owner, senior partner, and president of Minneapolis Plastic Surgery Ltd. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He joined the practice in 1987 after completing his training with Mayo Clinic. Dr. Tholen has over 37 years of experience in providing high-quality, innovative cosmetic surgery in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area and beyond.

Dr. Tholen's extensive education and training include a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, followed by seven years of post-MD surgical training in General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is board-certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons.
